I am honored to join the Great Hearts community in Texas today as Interim Superintendent. Together, we enjoy the benefits of great schools and talented headmasters, teachers, and staff. Moreover, we are blessed with children and families who share our commitment to the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
It is an important month ahead. As we prepare to start the school year we pause to celebrate July 4th, the 248th anniversary of a remarkable document, the Declaration of Independence. The holiday reminds us of our unique opportunity to provide our classical vision of an education that nurtures hearts and minds.
I want also to recognize and thank Kurtis Indorf for his dedicated leadership these past months and his good work to see through a smooth transition. We wish him well.
Thank you for the warm welcome to Great Hearts Texas. I look forward to our conversations in the weeks ahead.
