Built for the Work of a Classical Education
The new spaces are designed to support the daily habits of a Great Hearts education: reading deeply, thinking clearly, speaking charitably, and working diligently. From seminar-ready classrooms to purpose-built areas for the arts and sciences, the facilities will allow teachers and students to spend more time on what matters most—pursuing truth together.
As the Upper School completes its growth to include all high-school grades, these additions will ease crowding, strengthen schedules, and create room for both quiet study and lively discussion. The point, as always, is not the building itself, but the formation that happens within it.
Headmaster Franco thanked families, faculty, and supporters who gave their time, resources, and trust during years of growth:
“Thank you to those who believed in our vision and labored to build a strong foundation for our scholars, faculty, and families. Each one of you is an important part of the work we are doing here.”
That foundation is more than local. It rests on the poets, thinkers, and philosophers of the classical tradition—voices that invite students into the Great Conversation and call them toward lives of virtue and service.
With these facilities now open, Great Hearts Arlington Upper School is positioned to welcome its final grade levels next year and to serve more students—well and wisely—for years to come. The community left the celebration with a sense of gratitude and purpose:
“Each of you is a gift to us, and we hope in turn our school is a gift to you.”

Families interested in Great Hearts are encouraged to tour a campus, sit in on a Socratic seminar, and talk with students and teachers about the daily life of the academy. Open Enrollment for 2026–2027 begins November 3, 2025, and runs through January 27, 2026.
At Great Hearts, a student’s education is not merely preparation for the future; it is participation in what is timeless. We’re honored to continue that work—in new spaces, with the same enduring purpose.
