Great Hearts Texas

New Executive Director Appointments for Great Hearts Texas

From the desk of the Superintendent

Dear Families, Faculty, and Friends of our Texas Academies,

As we look ahead to the school year, my central goal remains to ensure that each campus receives the best support we can provide to serve our scholars and faculty.  With that goal in mind and in cooperation with the rest of our leadership team, I am making some important changes to our organizational structure.  Accordingly, I am pleased to announce the following appointments.

First, Andrew Ellison will serve as Interim Executive Director for our North Texas Academies.  Mr. Ellison’s history with our mission reaches back nearly 30 years to his time as faculty at Tempe Preparatory Academy.  He later became the founding headmaster of Veritas Preparatory Academy, the original Great Hearts’ flagship school.  Many of you will have worked with Andrew when he was Executive Director for our San Antonio academies, before he joined the University of Dallas, where he most recently served as Vice President of Enrollment.   We welcome him back to Great Hearts in this role.

Sam Heisman will continue to lead the San Antonio Upper School campuses and now our network Academics Team as well.  Monet Lessner will continue to lead the San Antonio Lower Schools, network Special Student Services, Governance, and Compliance.

Secondly, as you may be aware, over the past few months we have placed several key operations functions with Shraddha Nembang.  These include real estate, facility, and grant operations.  With these responsibilities, Shraddha has been promoted to Executive Director of Operations Projects.  Mrs. Nembang has served our academies for a decade, beginning in campus administration at Northern Oaks and advancing through roles as Director of Campus Operations, Regional Director of Operations, and Senior Director of Special Projects.  Mrs. Nembang knows our academies well, and we are fortunate that she will serve them in this new function.

We are on track to a strong start to the year.  Thank you each for your work and dedication to our mission.

Sincerely,

Dr. Wade Dyke
Superintendent
